FAQ

What does Leo club stands for?

Leo club is a club infiltrated with the International Lions Club, as a youth program under its range of services.
The club seeks to enrich lives of young people who wants to learn and experience life in a different manner and also to reach out to those people who are in need of care and concern.

The Leo club motto

Leadership - Leos develop skills as organizers, time managers and motivators of their peers.

Experience - Leos learn the importance of cooperation through community service.

Opportunity - Membership provides young people with a chance to excel, to develop positive character traits, and to receive recognition for their contributions to the community.

Where do we get our funds from?

The club organizes its activities with the funds which primarily comes from the membership fees paid up by the members.
No form of sponsorship or donation is being received by the club to support its activities.
Therefore, the more the members learn how to effectively manage the limited funds to carry out the projects which is being planned out.
The usage of the funds is being governed by the board of directors of each fiscal year to ensure that the fund is properly used in the appropriate areas.

What sorts of events do we organize?

We do not have any regular homes which we visit or attend to. In turn, we organize events or visits to homes or organisations which we would then have a purpose. IE. Festive celebration for the residents/children. You may either look at the list of events we had so far from the side bar under club history or you may like to visit our photo album for the gallery which the photos of our club events are shown.

The club has youth exchange programs too with fellow Leos from Malaysia and Hongkong. The club has just recently twinned with a club in Hong Kong, Leo Club of Tuen Mun, and we are actively promoting the interaction between our members in both clubs to share ideas on new community service projects or ways to improve our clubs.

Besides mainstream Leo activites, our members come together often to promote fellowship between one another and also to destress from the hectic working life or studying schedule.

Who can join our club as members?

For our club, our members consist of young teenagers and adults ranging from age of 16 to 30. Those whose age falls within this age range can opt to sign up with us as members. For existing Leo club members from other clubs, they can enter the club directly as member.  For public,  membership will be considered by current board of directors on whether the applicant is suitable, though there should not be any concern as long as you have a caring heart which is our main basis for review.

Interested but still unsure what our club is really about? Just either send us a mail to ask more about it or look out and come for our upcoming events to see for yourself how fun loving people we are. =)

Feel free to write to us at our club email at leosrc@leosrc.org or just post a short message using the comment box
